Every year the government is required to give away free money to citizens and residents of the United States. Over $50 billion dollars is given away each year to individuals and businesses in the form of free grants. This free money can be used for almost any purpose – including to buy a house, start a business, pay for college, buy equipment, pay salaries, buy school supplies, get out of debt, buy clothing, pay for child camp, pay for music, art or education lessons, paying off your medical bills, pay for gas for your car, and anything else you desire.

I understand that if the govt prints money and sends it out to people (consumers/citizens) in various forms (tax rebates etc), the value of the dollar will drop, because everyone will then have more money to spend. However, the govt is just paying itself off when it pays its own debts, so why would that affect the free market that is not a part of govt? In fact, why would govt even need to pay itself? Why can’t everyone just keep their income and the govt just print money to pay for the cost of running govt? I am finding this very hard to explain.

i have aboug 4 thousand saved up, i just sold about 2 thousand dolors worth of stuff on ebay, and i have something on there now that if it sells ill get a thousand for.

should i use that money from ebay to pay off my 2k in credit card debt or should i just save it in case that crap hits the fan,

when i get back home i have a free place to stay, if i pay it off ill probably go home with 4 grand, if i save it ill go home with about 6 grand, and that seem comforting to know i would have that much in the bank. i pay about 100 a month on the credit card.. so that would save me 100 a month.. and i can cut out my cell phone bill and save another 60 a month..

so what do you all think, pay it off so i have less monthly bills or save my money just in case it takes me a while to find a new job.. what would i be better off doing..

My Discovered card has offered me a personal loan to pay all of my credit card debt on one bill. They quoted me 12.9 % @ a fixed rate for a $20,000 loan. Well, my credit card rates range from 8.7 to 10.9 (variable). Discover told me that even though the rate is higher I would be able to pay off my debt faster. And any additional money paid would go straight to the principal. And my credit score may increase because I would free up my credit card debt. But I don’t know. Right now I am paying the min on my credit card bills @ $550 a month and the Discover loan would be $540 a month and I would have my debt paid off in 4 years. What do you think ?

We don’t want credit card consolidators or debt relief or debt management we want to pay them off with out hard earned money and be debt free!
I am not trying to get into more debt. I am trying to get out of it. I do not want to pay anything and that includes interest…

im not talkin about loans on a house or condo, just loans on stuff other than land/houses/condos. (My partner and I own a condo and are making more than the required minimum payments on our mortgage) Are there any good websites or spreadsheet templates on the net that itemise your goal for you on an annual basis? I want to get rid of my credit card debt of $12k and save enough money to start a small business (my partner doesn’t know about either of these otherwise he would explose). I would still work in my crappy job so my expenses are covered and to have an income stream…just that I want to pay off my credit card debt without my partner knowing and then start a small business and tell him when the business is off the ground. So I need the spreadsheet for both these things.

The 7th being having your home paid off and being debt free. My husband has the first 2 steps done, which are saving 3 mos. living expenses and having credit cards paid off. My credit cards are not paid off, and they total around 10,000. He wants to keep saving money, but I think before we save more, he should help me pay off my credit cards to accomplish that step together. He feels that since I accumulated the debt before I married him, I should pay them off myself. I hold the theory, what’s your is mine and what’s mine is yours. He has a hard time with that one. I understand this question is a little out there but I am in a desperate situation and am willing to try anything. Got caught in an a adjustable rate mortgage and had to sell my house for a loss that ate up all of my savings and then some. Maxed out of my credit cards in the process and am now stuck. I have a college degree and am a hard worker but the money I make at my job now will never get me out of this debt, 50k and counting. I am willing to go anywhere do anything for a year, Iraq, 3rd world in exchange for clean slate. Are there any programs or companies even over seas that offer something like this?

Ok..So I have a tricky question. Im trying to set some goals for paying off my debt and am trying to figure out an excel formula to help me. Im so close I just can’t figure out how to phrase it. This is what I need the formula ( basically )to say.
IF my debt in C4 is 0 then, the money I have to put towards the debt ((lets say the amount is in A1) needs to carryover into D4, and then when it equals 0 in D4 it will be applied to E4.

Hopefully I am explaining this right.

My next problem is once that is figured out I need to apply it across the months on the page.

My goal is to have a workbook that has a list of my debts going down the page, months of the year across the page, and then once the formula is applied show me which month I will have each debt paid off, especially if I put this extra money towards it.

Its a hard thing for me to figure out how if one debt equals zero, the amount I have to put towards debt that is leftover from that cell now equaling zero, rolling down into the next cell.

Im sure someone is extremly smart out there and can figure this out!
