I started doing a refinance of my student loans prior to Oct 1 but there been a lot of “needing more information” because of thier mistakes and the company is starting to really make me angry.
I wanted to cancel the application and start over. They said if I did that I would not be able to refinance because I have less than 20,000 in debt and the rules changed since Oct. 1.
I just want to know if it is a government mandate or this companies’?

I know there are lots of websites that will loan money or do debt consolidations, there are so many I just dont know who to trust. Has anybody had any expierience with any of them or have any suggestions?

I never have and all my friends who have done this are now debt free so I feel angry because while they got to pay off their debt and save up to buy a nice car, all of my money was going towards rent and utilities. What’s your take on this?
I’m not saying they’re taking advantage of anyone. Their family lets them live at home rent free and have no problem with it, it’s just until they save up to buy a house and in the meantime they also save up to drive a nice car. It’s an open ’secret’ as in all parties are aware and in agreement of the situation.
I personally did not have the opportunity and no I am not bragging because that would’ve been good and I wish I did. I’m not hating either, just upset at my own situation. Good for them because I would’ve done the same if my mom chose me overher bf to live with her, I just upset that now I am so behind and still renting and after all these years nothing much to show for it while friends with the same income level and education are much better off now that in our 30’s they are buying houses with what they’ve saved up, getting married and have a lot to show with all the mone they’ve saved.
